Type 4 & 9 Responsible Officer
Responsibilities:
Hold Type 4 and Type 9 licenses from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and meet the qualifications for the Responsible Officer (RO) position.
Familiarity with the Hong Kong capital markets and the SFC regulatory framework, with compliance management experience.
Ensure that all business activities comply with the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) requirements for Type 4 and Type 9 licensed companies and related regulations.
Monitor changes in regulatory policies, maintain operational process documentation in accordance with compliance requirements, and provide compliance advice to the management.
Conduct internal compliance reviews, including KYC, AML, trade monitoring, and risk management.
Represent the company in communications with regulatory authorities and oversee internal control processes.
Manage the operational and settlement functions of the licensed institution, optimize workflows, and enhance efficiency to support business growth and ensure smooth operations.
Handle middle and back office operations, such as financial reporting, audit coordination, and clearing and settlement processes; develop and implement policies and procedures related to operations and settlements.
Cooperate with management team to design fund structure, draft fund offering documents, and register funds and record products with regulatory agencies
Work closely with the internal top management group, investment committees, marketing business unit, involving in the marketing planning, projects, and business development coordination.
Requirements:
Degree or above in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, Law or related discipline
Having been in RO position of SFC Type 4 & 9 for more than 3 years out of the last 6 years, having experience managing funds.
Solid knowledge in financial products, asset management, funds or capital investment products
Strong analytical and good interpersonal and presentation skills, highly-motivated and able to work independently, with minimum 3 years of relevant experiences gained from banking or financial services institutions.
Well understanding of SFC regulatory regime, portfolio construction and performance measurement
Solid understanding about middle and back office operations, risk controls and investment process of asset management companies
Fluency in English, Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) in both spoken and written
